Saw something hovering over the cornfield behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it

Right so this is exactly the kind of thing I live for on this forum. Cornfields are genuinely one of the most reported hotspots for low hovering craft, something about the electromagnetic properties of the soil apparently, though thats a whole other rabbit hole.

What colour were the lights? That's the first thing I always ask. Red and orange pulsing tends to suggest one category, pure white or blue-white is a completely different conversation. Also how long did it hover before it moved or disappeared? The duration matters more than people realise.

I had something similar outside Leeds about three years back, field rather than corn but same low silent hovering behaviour. Never fully explained it and I've looked at every mundane option going. Drones don't move like what I saw and neither does anything else I can think of.

Post whatever details you remember, even the stuff that seems irrelevant. Location, approximate time, weather conditions. People on here will actually engage with it properly rather than just telling you it was a weather balloon.

@DarkMountain what time did this happen roughly? And did it make any sound at all or was it completely silent? That detail matters a lot when trying to work out what it actually was.

The hovering behaviour is the bit that gets me. Drones hover but they're usually pretty noisy and don't tend to linger for long. Silent hovering craft over agricultural land is one of the most consistent patterns in UK reports and Norfolk specifically has a fair few on record going back decades. I've been keeping an eye on local sightings in this area for a while now and there's definitely something going on around the Broads and the farmland south of there.

Did you manage to get any video or even just a rough description of the shape?
