Been following this thread since you posted. The detail about it hovering without any sound is what gets me - silent craft or objects are reported far more often than people realise, and mainstream coverage almost always focuses on the ones with noise because its more dramatic I suppose.
I've done a fair bit of work filming locations around South Wales and the silent ones are consistently what witnesses describe as most unsettling. Something about the absence of sound when there should be sound, your brain just doesn't know what to do with it.
Did you notice any effect on your animals if you have any, or even just the ambient night sounds going quiet? That's something that comes up again and again in credible encounter reports and would add a lot of weight to what you're describing. Would genuinely love to hear more detail if you're up for sharing it.
