It's been 46 years since the Rendlesham Forest incident (December 26-28, 1980) and I'm genuinely surprised there isn't more recent investigation happening. We've got better technology now - thermal imaging, drone footage, precision GPS. The area is still accessible. Why isn't someone doing a proper modern investigation?
I'm thinking about organising a team to visit the forest around the anniversary this December. The theory is that if there was something genuinely unusual about that location (ley lines, energy vortex, whatever), it might still be present. The military presence has reduced since the Cold War so we might actually get better evidence.
Has anyone been to Rendlesham recently? What's the current state of the forest? Is it still mostly off-limits or can civilians access the sites where the sightings occurred?
