I've been working through quite a few paranormal documentaries lately and I thought I'd share some recommendations. I'm particularly interested in ones that focus on British cases, as a lot of the good stuff gets drowned out by American content.

What I'd recommend:

"Rendlesham: Britain's Roswell" (BBC, 2015) - Brilliant investigation into the 1980 Rendlesham Forest incident. Interviews with credible witnesses, balanced approach. Not sensationalist. Around 45 minutes, available on BBC iPlayer.

"Mysterious Britain" (podcast) - I can't recommend this enough. The host is witty, well-researched, and doesn't take himself too seriously. New episode every two weeks. Free on all platforms.

"Strange Days" (now discontinued but archived online) - American show but excellent episode on British hauntings. A bit dated (early 2000s) but the production quality is solid.

What are your go-to recommendations? I'm open to books too - been meaning to build my library.

"Rendlesham: Britain's Roswell" is genuinely excellent. I showed it to my mum and even she was convinced something happened. The witness testimony is so consistent and detailed that it's hard to dismiss as mass hysteria.

If you want books, I'd highly recommend "The UFO Report" by Jenny Randles. She's a serious researcher, not a conspiracy theorist. Also Peter Underwood's books on haunted Britain are comprehensive - bit dry but very thorough. Both available on Amazon.

"Mysterious Britain" podcast is brilliant but fair warning: the host is very skeptical. Like, very skeptical. If you're looking for stuff that validates your beliefs, this might frustrate you. But I love it because he actually engages with evidence rather than accepting everything uncritically.

Has anyone seen the new Netflix paranormal series? I watched a few episodes and it felt like American sensationalism transplanted to British locations. Gave me the ick. I'd rather watch something properly researched like the BBC Rendlesham doc than reality TV nonsense.

"The Twilight Zone" has some brilliant British-set episodes if you count sci-fi as paranormal content. Not documentary but genuinely unsettling. Richard Matheson's writing is excellent. Obviously not "real" but good for getting in the mood for research sessions!
