Not technically a 'haunted location' in the traditional sense, but something genuinely strange happened to me at the Penrose Steps in Bloomsbury on 2nd November, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had experiences there.

I was descending the steps around 16:45 on an overcast evening. Roughly halfway down, I became aware that I'd somehow lost about 10-15 minutes. My watch said 16:52 when I reached the bottom, but it felt like I'd only been on the steps for 2-3 minutes. My mobile's clock confirmed the time was correct.

I was fully conscious the entire time, not dizzy or disoriented. I remember every step, every bit of the descent. But the time discrepancy is undeniable. Has anyone experienced temporal anomalies at locations in London? Particularly around areas with interesting architectural features?

The Penrose Steps are architecturally fascinating - they're designed to be impossible to navigate, which might create cognitive strain that affects temporal perception. Your brain struggling to process the geometry could've made time feel shorter than it actually was. It's more plausible than genuine time anomaly.

London has loads of locations with reported temporal distortions. The Underground especially. Whether it's actual time anomaly or perceptual distortion is the eternal question. If it happens again, try checking your mobile's time against several sources - redundancy helps rule out simple watch malfunction.

The Penrose Steps themselves aren't typically reported as paranormally active, but Bloomsbury has interesting history. There's the British Museum proximity, various Victorian societies, esoteric activity in the area. Could be localised weirdness. Worth documenting and seeing if pattern emerges with other reports.

Memory's interesting though. You could have gaps you're not aware of. Your brain might be constructing continuity from fragmentary recollection. Not saying you're lying, just saying subjective experience isn't always reliable for temporal measurement.
