I've got a still image from some CCTV footage shot on a farm near Bodmin Moor (I can't reveal the exact location for privacy reasons, but it's in Cornwall). The owner sent this to me because they thought it might be interesting to the paranormal community. It shows what looks like an unusual object in the sky, caught on 14th September, 2022, around 11:47 PM.

Looking at it initially, it could be anything from a drone to an aircraft at a weird angle, to something genuinely unidentified. The quality isn't brilliant because it's CCTV footage blown up, but I'd really appreciate some proper technical analysis. What am I looking at?

I'd attach the image but I'm still new to the forum and don't think I can upload files. Can someone advise on how to post images properly?

Go to your profile settings and you should see an option to upload images to your gallery. Once it's there, you can link it in posts. Some of our tech-savvy members can do pixel-level analysis if you get a good clear image. But without seeing it, hard to say anything useful. Get the image up and we'll have a proper look.

Bodmin Moor's got quite a bit of activity actually. There's the famous "Bodmin Beast" sightings (big cat, probably an escaped zoo animal or something), but there's also been unexplained lights reported in that area going back decades. If this is new footage, it could be quite significant. Definitely upload it.

Could also be atmospheric phenomena. The Cornwall coast gets some odd weather patterns, and unusual reflections can create the appearance of structured objects in the sky. Not saying that's what this is, but it's worth considering before jumping to anything more exotic. Upload the image and let the community have a proper look.

This is how disinformation spreads. Random people sending CCTV stills to forums with minimal context, and then the detail gets lost in conversation. If this is genuine, get proper documentation: exact coordinates, time stamps verified by the farm, weather data from that night, anything unusual the residents experienced. Otherwise it's just a blurry picture.

Welcome to the forum, by the way! Bodmin's a great area for investigation. Once you get the image uploaded, I reckon the folks here can offer some decent analysis. We've got some really knowledgeable people who specialise in optical analysis and image forensics.
