Missing time incident near Penrith - three hours just gone

Right, I'm going to sound mental but I need to get this down while it's fresh. This happened last Tuesday night (12th September) around 10:30pm near Penrith, Lake District. I was driving back from my mate's house in Keswick, perfectly sober, clear night, decent visibility.

Next thing I remember clearly is being parked up in a layby about 15 miles further down the M6, and my dashboard clock said 1:47am. Three hours just vanished. My petrol gauge showed I'd used about half a tank, which doesn't make sense for that distance. My mobile had no battery despite being on 67% when I set off.

I've got this weird mark on my left arm - not painful, just a perfect triangle of tiny red dots. My wife thinks I need to see a doctor but I'm pretty certain something happened up there. Has anyone else experienced missing time? Wondering if I should report it somewhere or if that's pointless.

Mate, you need to get that arm looked at by your GP. Could be a reaction to something, could be nothing. But the missing time is the interesting bit. Have you checked if there's any CCTV on the M6 stretch you don't remember? Might be worth submitting an FOI request to Highways England, though they'll probably claim the footage gets deleted after 30 days.

This is classic abduction scenario. They always go for the Lake District - good remote areas, fewer witnesses. The mark on your arm is what they call a 'sample extraction point' (look up Whitley Strieber's accounts). You should get a proper UFO investigator to interview you, not just post on here. There's a woman in Carlisle who does regression hypnotherapy specifically for this.

Your wife is right though? You experienced missing time and there's a mark on your arm. That genuinely warrants a medical check. The alien stuff can wait - rule out the mundane first (mini-stroke, fugue state, etc.). Have you been stressed lately?

Did you fill up before or after? The petrol consumption would actually help narrow down what happened. If you genuinely drove 100+ miles but can't remember it, your brain either blanked out or something else was controlling the vehicle. Either way, that's worth investigating properly. When are you going back to the area?
