I'm putting this here because I genuinely don't know where else to put it and I'm genuinely frightened.

This happened on November 3rd, around 10:45pm. I was driving back to my flat near Fort William after visiting family. I'd left about 10:30pm, was on the A82 heading south through Glencoe. Clear night, good visibility, roads were empty.

I remember passing a specific landmark - the ruined cottage near Altnafeadh - and I remember thinking about how eerie it looked in my headlights. After that... the next thing I remember is being parked in a layby about 15 miles further south, and it was 1:03am.

That's roughly a two-hour drive at normal speeds. I should've done it in 45 minutes. I've checked my fuel gauge and it hadn't moved noticeably. My car's mileage doesn't show any weird gaps (I'd have to do the maths properly to verify). I have no memory of the drive. Nothing.

I didn't have a phone signal to check the time, so I can't be 100% sure of the actual time gap, but I've got the timestamp on my satnav log. It definitely says 1:03am when I parked.

The worst part: I have these faint marks on my inner right arm. Not scars exactly, but circular indentations in the skin. Too symmetrical to be accidental. They're not painful, not infected, but they're there. They weren't there before November 3rd.

I'm freaked out, mate. I don't want to go to hospital because they'll think I'm mental. I don't want to tell family because they'll think I'm having a breakdown. But I've read about missing time and abduction scenarios, and I'm genuinely scared I've experienced something.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Those marks need documenting. Photograph them in good light (natural sunlight ideally), from multiple angles. Measure the diameter and spacing precisely. Keep a log of any changes. If they fade over time, that might suggest something non-standard was used to make them. This could be valuable evidence if you're ever going to figure out what happened.

Missing time is the classic abduction marker. Combined with the physical marks, this is fitting a pattern that's been reported consistently across abduction cases for decades. The Glencoe area is also interesting - remote, isolated, minimal witnesses. Ideal for that sort of activity.

Have you checked your car's systems? Some abductees report electronic malfunctions after encounters. Might be worth taking it to a mechanic just to rule out technical issues with the odometer, clock, etc. Though I'm guessing you've already verified the satnav wasn't glitching?

This is genuinely unsettling. I'd recommend getting in touch with UFO researchers who specialize in missing time cases - organisations like BUFORA or the NUFORC. They deal with this kind of thing regularly and they're completely confidential. Don't go to hospital, you're right about that. But talking to researchers who understand the phenomenon might help you make sense of what happened.

Before jumping to aliens, consider other possibilities: dissociation, blackout, incomplete memory. All medically documented. The marks could be unrelated to the missing time - they might've been there and you only noticed them after. Not saying that's what happened, but rule out normal explanations first before assuming abduction.

Glencoe's got a reputation. Look up historical sightings in that area. There's definitely something about the Scottish Highlands that attracts unusual phenomena. Ley lines, electromagnetic anomalies, historical accounts... Something's happening up there. You might've just had a direct encounter with it.
