Fair enough, these things have to happen. Any chance the timing could get shifted a bit later in the day though? Saturday morning tends to be when I'm most active on here, usually catching up on threads over a brew before heading out.
Also worth asking - will we lose anything that was posted in the last day or two, or is the database getting backed up properly before they start? I've seen a couple of forums over the years where maintenance went sideways and wiped out recent posts, not ideal when people have put real effort into detailed write-ups.
Anyone else got thoughts on the timing or is it just me being awkward about it?
