Good to know ahead of time - always appreciate a heads up rather than just finding the site dead when I go to check in on a thread.
I've got a fairly busy Saturday planned anyway. Got a new EVP session lined up at an old Victorian building in the Clifton area, so the timing might actually work out nicely. I'll be running my Zoom H5 for most of the afternoon, so I probably won't even notice the downtime.
For anyone who's going to be frustrated by the gap, might be worth using the time productively - catch up on some field notes, review recordings you've been putting off, or dig into that stack of books you've been meaning to get through. I've got Robbie Graham's UFO Truth Magazine back issues piling up on my desk and this might finally be the push I need.
One small request for the admins - any chance the EVP Recording subforum threads get backed up before the maintenance? Not that I'm assuming anything will go wrong, but there's a couple of really detailed threads on microphone placement techniques I'd hate to lose. Better safe than sorry, as they say.
Anyone else got plans for Saturday? Could be a good opportunity to get out of the house and do some actual fieldwork rather than just discussing it online. Would love to hear what others are working on at the moment - crop circle season is winding down but there's still time for a decent site visit if the weather holds.
