Cheers for the heads up - genuinely appreciate the admins giving advance notice rather than just pulling the plug mid-session. Some sites don't bother and it's proper annoying when you're halfway through writing up a long investigation report.
Saturday night's actually decent timing for me personally. I've got a solo EVP session planned out at an old mill site near Salford on Friday, so I'll spend Saturday evening going through the recordings on Audacity and tagging anything worth uploading. No forum = no distraction, which is honestly a blessing knowing how much time I sink into threads here.
Only thing I'd flag - if anyone's got active investigation logs or evidence uploads queued up, probably worth downloading local copies before Saturday just in case anything goes sideways with the migration. Wouldn't be the first time a maintenance window stretched longer than planned and files ended up needing restoration. Not being pessimistic, just practical.
Will the new setup bring any performance improvements? The site does occasionally crawl when threads get heavy with image attachments - particularly noticeable in the cryptozoology boards where people are posting trail cam screenshots. If the backend's getting a refresh it'd be good to know if that's on the radar.
Anyone else using the downtime productively? Curious what investigations people have got on the go this weekend.
