This happened on September 19th, around 8:15pm, Northern Line heading southbound from King's Cross toward Clapham Common. I'm posting now because I've been thinking about it constantly and it's doing my head in.
There was a passenger in my carriage who was... off. Not drunk, not on drugs. Just profoundly wrong. He was a middle-aged bloke, completely still, staring straight ahead. Normal clothes - grey coat, dark trousers. But his skin had this strange quality - almost translucent? And when the light hit his face from certain angles, I genuinely couldn't quite see his features clearly. Like they were slightly blurred or displaced.
The strangest bit: nobody else seemed to notice him. I watched other passengers and they literally looked through him. Not metaphorically - they'd position themselves as if he wasn't there, stepping around empty space where he was standing. At Stockwell, he just... wasn't there anymore. I didn't see him leave.
I'm not on any medication. I was sober. I'm asking this genuinely: has anyone else seen something like this on the Tube? Or have an explanation that isn't "you've gone mental"?
