Right, hi everyone. I'm Sarah, 28, from Manchester. I've been lurking on Quirk Reports for about three months and finally decided to sign up properly.
Fair warning: I'm quite sceptical about most paranormal claims. I'm not here to be a troll or a 'debunker' for the sake of it, but I do tend to ask questions about evidence and methodology. That's kind of my nature - I work in data analysis, so I'm probably annoying at parties.
I got interested in this community not because I believe in ghosts or UFOs (though I'm genuinely undecided), but because I find the psychology fascinating. Why do people believe this stuff? What does it tell us about how our brains work? What's the difference between genuine curiosity and pattern-seeking?
I'm hoping to engage respectfully with people here who might have different views. And if I ever saw something genuinely unexplained, I'd love to discuss it seriously rather than just assuming it's aliens. Anyway, looking forward to posting.
