Right then, officially introducing myself. I've been reading Quirk Reports for about two years without posting, and figured it was time to actually join the conversation rather than just consuming content.

I'm a 34-year-old teacher from Nottinghamshire with an absolutely genuine interest in paranormal phenomena, particularly local UK cases. I'm skeptical of about 70% of what I read online, but genuinely fascinated by the 30% that I can't quite explain. I've got some experience with audio recording and basic statistical analysis, so hopefully I can contribute meaningfully to discussions rather than just asking questions.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. Fair warning: I will push back on dodgy methodology or unfounded claims, but always in good faith. I'm here to figure out truth, not to 'win' arguments. Cheers in advance for the welcome.

Welcome aboard! Always good to have people with actual technical skills joining. We definitely need more pushback on methodology - the paranormal community would benefit from more rigor. Looking forward to your contributions.

Another Nottinghamshire person! Where abouts? We've got some genuinely interesting local history - Wollaton Hall, Sherwood Forest, etc. Curious if you've had any experiences locally or if you're just generally interested in the subject.

That's the healthiest approach, honestly. The paranormal community needs more people willing to say 'I don't know' rather than jumping to extreme conclusions. Good to have you here.

Teaching background? You'll fit right in. This forum appreciates clear communication and logical argumentation. Feel free to jump into any discussions where you've got something useful to add. Lurk if you want to get a feel for the culture first, but we're generally welcoming to thoughtful new members.
