Had something similar in my old house in Cardiff back in the 90s. Rhythmic footsteps on the roof, my dog at the time just sat bolt upright staring at the exact same spot every night for about a week. Never moved, never barked, just watched. That blank stare is honestly more unsettling than if they'd gone mental barking.
Did the footsteps have any kind of pattern or was it random movement? And was it more of a scraping sound or actual distinct footfalls? I've been doing spirit box sessions for years and a lot of what people dismiss as "something on the roof" turns out to be poltergeist-adjacent activity, the energy tends to manifest at the highest point of a structure first before it moves inward.
