That sound of something heavy moving across roof tiles in the dead of night is genuinely unsettling, and when your dog reacts that strongly it tells you something. Animals don't perform, they respond.

The dog reaction is the bit that gets me every time with these reports. They pick up on frequencies we cant, and they also seem to sense something beyond just physical presence. Theres a decent amount of anecdotal evidence suggesting dogs react differently to paranormal activity vs a fox or a cat getting onto your roof.
What did the sound actually feel like - was it heavy and deliberate, or more skittery and random? And roughly where are you located? Would be interested to know if theres any ley line activity near you, that area sometimes correlates with increased strange occurrences.
