Heard scratching inside my bedroom wall for weeks, finally saw what was making it last night

Mate the wall scratching thing is genuinely one of the creepiest slow burns you can experience, weeks of that would have me sleeping with every light on. What did you see?? Don't leave us hanging like that. I've had a spirit box session where something kept referencing "inside" and "the wall" repeatedly and I still think about it, never did work out if it was the building or something else entirely. Some of the most compelling cases I've come across start exactly like this - mundane explanation gets ruled out and then it gets weird fast. Could be anything from a straightforward infestation to something a lot harder to explain depending on what you actually witnessed. Post the details up, people here will have thoughts.

@VoidwalkingGloucestershire right there's actually a load of mundane explanations for wall scratching that people immediately assume is paranormal - mice, squirrels getting in through the eaves, even birds nesting in cavity walls. done a fair few investigations in old Cumbrian farmhouses where the "entity" turned out to be a very determined mouse.

that said if it's been weeks with no sign of any animal activity then yeah that's worth paying attention to. OP what kind of scratching is it, like rhythmic or random? that actually tells you a lot. rhythmic patterns are harder to explain away tbh.

waiting for OP to come back and deliver tbh, don't leave us with just "I finally saw it" and nothing else lol

also yeah @Chrissie78 fair point on the mundane stuff but honestly weeks of scratching would still wreck my nerves even if it turned out to be a mouse or whatever. the not knowing is the worst part.
