Heads up: site will be down for maintenance this Saturday night

Fair enough, these things need doing. Bit annoying timing wise for me personally as Saturday night is usually when I sit down and properly catch up on threads, but what can you do.

Will the recent posts still be there when it comes back up? I've got a couple of ongoing discussions about the Rendlesham Forest time slip angle that I don't want to lose track of. Had the same thing happen on another forum years back where they did maintenance and wiped about three weeks of posts, absolute nightmare.

How long are we talking for the downtime roughly? An hour, several hours? Would be good to know so I'm not just sitting there hitting refresh like an idiot all night.

Probably worth asking @Mods directly if you want a straight answer on the posts thing, the announcements never seem to cover that level of detail.

Saturday night is rubbish timing tbh, thats when half the US lot are online too so it'll hit traffic from both sides. Hope they've at least backed everything up properly before they start poking around in the server guts - we lost a whole thread on the Skinwalker Ranch symbolism analysis last year during one of these maintenance windows and it never came back.
