Right, noted - though I have to say the timing is absolutely terrible. Saturday night is when I do most of my deep-dive reading sessions. Got a whole stack of Betty and Barney Hill case documents I've been meaning to work through properly, plus there's a thread on NDEs I've been meaning to respond to for about a week now.
Is there any rough estimate on how long ". Maintenance". Actually means in practice? Because in my experience these things are never the two hours they promise - you end up staring at a blank screen until gone 2am wondering if the site's just died permanently.
Also worth asking - will there be any data loss? I've had forums wipe out post history before during these windows and it's absolutely maddening. Got some fairly detailed responses saved in draft that I'd hate to lose.
For anyone else caught out by this, might be worth doing what I'm doing and copying any important draft posts into a local document before Saturday. Notepad, Word, whatever you've got. Learned that lesson the hard way on another forum years back.
Appreciate the heads up regardless - better than logging on Saturday to find everything gone with no explanation. Any chance of updates posted somewhere accessible whilst the main site is down? A social media account or something similar? Would put people's minds at ease rather than just leaving us all guessing.
