Good to know, cheers for the heads up. Saturday night is actually decent timing for me since I'm usually out doing EVP sessions around then anyway - got a location in Hampshire I've been wanting to revisit for a while now.
Does anyone know roughly how long it tends to be down for? I've seen maintenance windows vary wildly on different sites. Some come back in an hour, others drag on half the day. Would be useful to know if it's worth staying up or just leaving it until Sunday morning.
Also slightly paranoid question - will all the threads and attachments stay intact? I've got a few ongoing posts where I've uploaded some audio files from my recorder and I'd hate for those to disappear. Not that I'm suggesting anything would go wrong, just one of those things you always wonder about with site updates.
Hopefully whatever's being updated improves things a bit. The site has been running a little slow lately when I try to load longer threads, not sure if others have noticed that. Could just be my end but it seems to happen consistently on here.
Anyone else planning to use the downtime productively? Might be a good excuse to actually get out and do something rather than sitting refreshing the forum. There's a field near me with some interesting formation activity from last summer that I keep meaning to go back and photograph properly.
