Good to know - appreciate the heads up rather than just finding the site dead with no explanation. Nothing worse than troubleshooting your own connection for twenty minutes before realising it's the platform itself.
Saturday night is actually decent timing for most of us in the UK. Plenty of people will be out doing field investigations rather than sitting at keyboards, so the disruption should be minimal. I've got a session planned at a location near Stonehenge that evening anyway, so the timing works perfectly for me.
Out of curiosity - is this routine server maintenance or are there actual changes coming to the site? I ask because a few of us have been quietly hoping for improvements to the image upload system. Paranormal photography threads can get unwieldy when you're trying to share multiple high-resolution files and the compression mangles the detail. There's been more than one occasion where something potentially interesting in a photo has been lost because the platform squashed it down too aggressively.
Also wondering whether the mobile experience might get any attention. Posting from the field on a phone is still a bit clunky compared to desktop.
No complaints really - just using the opportunity to flag what's on the wishlist while someone's presumably poking around under the hood anyway. Would be good to hear from other members what they'd most like to see improved. Might as well make a proper list while we're at it.
