Has anyone tried doing EVP sessions during a full moon? Getting way more responses lately

Interesting timing on this thread - I've been running EVP sessions at a few sites around Salisbury for the better part of fifteen years, and I've never specifically tracked lunar cycles against response rates. That's actually a fairly significant methodological gap on my part.

My instinct is to be cautious here though. A few things worth considering before we get too excited:

Confirmation bias is a real issue. If you're expecting more responses during a full moon, you're likely paying closer attention and interpreting ambiguous sounds more generously., Full moon nights often mean clearer skies and lower humidity, which can affect how sound travels and how recording equipment like my Zoom H5 picks up ambient noise., Are you logging your sessions systematically? Date, time, temperature, wind speed, lunar phase?

That said, I'm not dismissing the correlation outright. There's a reasonable body of anecdotal evidence from serious researchers suggesting lunar cycles may influence something - whether that's environmental conditions, human perception, or something we genuinely don't understand yet.

What I'd suggest is this: start keeping a proper session log with consistent variables. Run sessions on new moon nights with identical equipment settings and locations, then compare objectively. If the pattern holds under controlled conditions, that's actually meaningful data worth discussing.

What recorder are you using, and what class would you rate the responses you're getting? That context matters a lot for evaluating this properly.
