Been following the Great Lakes clusters for a while now and yeah, the uptick is noticeable. There was a decent thread on here about 18 months back compiling reports from Michigan and Wisconsin, worth digging up if you haven't seen it.
What gets me is how consistent the descriptions are across people who clearly haven't talked to each other - the height, the way it moves, that "wrong proportions" thing witnesses keep mentioning. Hard to dismiss that as pure copycat stuff.
Derbyshire doesn't really have an equivalent but I've always been curious whether its tied to specific terrain types. Dense woodland near water seems to be a common factor across basically all the credible reports I've read. Could be something in that or could be confirmation bias, not sure.
Anyone got firsthand accounts or is this mostly aggregated from other sites? Would be good to know if theres anyone here who's actually been out in those areas recently.
