Never paid much attention to dogman stuff personally, always thought it was a bit too "monster movie" for my tastes compared to the more grounded cryptid reports. But a mate sent me a link last week to about four or five recent witness accounts all clustered around Lake Michigan and I have to say the geographical pattern is actually quite interesting.
Makes me wonder if theres something about large bodies of water and cryptid activity generally. We see the same thing with Bigfoot reports near river systems. Could be a food source thing, could be something weirder to do with the terrain or even ley line concentrations in those areas - I've done a fair bit of work on ley lines in Yorkshire and water features crop up constantly.
Anyone actually from the Great Lakes region seeing this uptick firsthand rather than just reading reports? That'd be more useful than secondhand links.
