Bit outside my usual territory this one since I'm more of a UFO/psychic phenomena person, but I've been following the Great Lakes Dogman stuff with genuine interest lately. The clustering of reports around that region does seem like more than coincidence, and the consistency in witness descriptions is hard to ignore even if you're skeptical.
What gets me is how similar the accounts are to some of the older Native American lore from that area. Whether thats a case of cultural memory shaping what people think they see, or whether theres something genuinely persistent in that region, I honestly don't know.
Does anyone have a sense of whether the uptick in sightings is just down to more people having cameras on them now, or are we talking actual increased frequency based on the reports coming in? Because those are two very different things and I feel like a lot of these discussions conflate them. Would be good to hear from anyone who actually lives near the lakes rather than just people like me reading about it from the other side of the Atlantic.
