Stumbled across this thread and it caught my attention even though I'm more of an abduction and psychic side of things myself. I've been reading through the BFRO reports and a few other databases recently trying to get my head around how these sightings cluster geographically, and the Great Lakes pattern does seem to show up a fair bit when you dig into the historical records.
What I find interesting is whether there's any correlation with the Native American territorial maps for that region, because a lot of the older accounts from indigenous communities describe something very similar to what modern witnesses are reporting. Could just be cultural transmission of course but it keeps nagging at me.
Has anybody here actually done a proper timeline of the sightings, like year by year, to see if there's a genuine uptick or if we're just noticing it more because of social media amplification? Would be genuinely useful to have that data laid out. I'd do it myself but I'm still fairly new to cryptid research and wouldn't know where to start honestly.
