Retired geography teacher here so the Great Lakes region is basically my jam and yeah the clustering of reports around Lake Michigan specifically has been really odd lately. Reminds me of how Mothman sightings spiked before the Silver Bridge collapse - like the area just becomes a hotspot out of nowhere and then everyone starts noticing things they probably walked past for years.
Seen a few blurry trail cam photos going around on Reddit that honestly looked more convincing than the usual stuff. Could be a bear with mange, could be my ex-wife on a bad morning, who knows.
Anyone got actual coordinates or at least rough locations for the recent ones? As a geography nerd I'd love to plot them on a map and see if theres a pattern near water sources or forest edges. That kind of spatial analysis is where I actually feel useful on threads like this rather than just lobbing jokes.
