Never really looked into Dogman much before but this thread caught my eye. We've got a few old railway lines near me in the north west and I've done a couple of late night recording sessions along one of them hoping to catch some decent EVP. Never saw anything but the atmosphere was genuinely unsettling in a way I couldn't explain, more than just the usual darkness and quiet.
The railway theory is interesting though. Old lines cut through land that was never really developed, lots of old woodland and embankments that haven't been touched in decades. If something large was moving around it could cover serious distance without crossing roads or populated areas. Makes sense as a travel corridor really.
Anyone got specific locations they've looked into? Would be curious whether theres a pattern with lines that were shut down longer ago versus more recently.
