Noticed this pattern myself actually - not Dogman specifically but a lot of the more consistent cryptid encounter clusters in the UK seem to follow old industrial routes. Old rail lines, canal paths, disused mine tracks. Makes you wonder if theres something about the land disturbance from when they were built, or maybe these things just use the corridors as travel routes same as any animal would.
Read a decent breakdown of US Dogman cases a while back and the railroad connection kept coming up. Some researchers reckon the iron/steel might interfere with whatever keeps these things from being spotted more often, kind of disrupts something. Bit speculative but I dont dismiss it.
Anyone mapped this out properly? Would be genuinely interesting to overlay reported sightings with old OS maps showing historical rail routes. Might do it for Yorkshire if nobody else has - got a few local accounts I've collected over the years that could be worth plotting.
