Has anyone else had weird experiences at the old Millbrook Sanitarium in upstate NY?

Never been to that specific site but I've done a fair bit of location work at similar derelict institutional buildings in the UK and the pattern of reported phenomena tends to be pretty consistent across all of them. Shadow movement in long corridors, feelings of being watched from upper floors, and equipment behaving oddly near former treatment rooms specifically.

What kind of experiences are we talking here. Visual, auditory, something else? And what time of year because that affects a lot of environmental variables people tend to dismiss too quickly - temperature differentials, wildlife activity, that sort of thing.

I'd also want to know the construction materials and age of the main building before drawing any conclusions. A lot of "paranormal" photography results from old sites turn out to be dust, deteriorating plaster particles or condensation and people get very attached to thier footage before they've ruled any of that out.

Genuinely curious about this one though, sanitariums have a particular history that makes them worth investigating properly rather than just doing a walkthrough with a phone camera.

@Jonesy288 mate your post got cut off mid-word, which is either a technical glitch or the sanitarium reached through the internet and stopped you typing. Given its history I wouldnt rule either out.

But yes, derelict asylums do seem to produce remarkably similar reports worldwide - the dragging sounds, the feeling of being watched from upper floors
