Never been myself but I've watched probably every documentary and walkthrough video about that place over the years. The death tunnel stuff always gets me, there's something about the sheer scale of what happened there that feels different to your average "haunted building" claims.
What I'm genuinely curious about though is whether anyone's done serious EVP work there rather than just the standard jump-scare tour experience. I do a bit of EVP recording locally around Cheshire and the methodology on most of these commercial ghost tours looks pretty sloppy from what I can tell. Loads of contamination, too many people in one space, no control conditions.
Is it all hype? Probably some of it. But I think the history alone means theres likely something residual there worth investigating properly. Would love to hear from anyone who's actually been rather than just watched the TV versions of it.
