Never been to Pennhurst personally but mates who do urban exploration reckon the energy in the administration block is genuinely off compared to the rest of the site - and these aren't people who spook easily. From a purely technical standpoint the site ticks every box: decades of extreme psychological trauma, high density of deaths, original structures still partially intact. Trauma-imprinted locations tend to retain residual activity far longer than your standard haunted manor type scenario. Someone on another forum posted EMF readings from the tunnel system that were frankly difficult to explain away. Anyone here actually done a proper overnight with equipment rather than just a torch and a phone camera? Would love to see some real data from this place rather than just the usual "I heard footsteps" reports, no offence to anyone.
Has anyone else had experiences at the old Pennhurst buildings in Spring City?
@AlmostNexus never been myself but I've read quite a bit about Pennhurst and the administration block thing lines up with what multiple investigators have documented independently. There's something about locations with prolonged institutional trauma that seems to concentrate whatever's going on rather than spread it evenly across a site. The fact your mates aren't the type to spook easily makes it more credible tbh, that's usually when you actually want to pay attention to the report.
