Been following this one closely actually. The Cascades have had scattered reports going back decades but this summer does seem different, there's a real cluster of sightings in a pretty tight geographic area which is harder to dismiss than one-offs spread across hundreds of miles.
I'm up in Northumberland so obviously I can't nip over and have a look myself, but I've been pulling together the witness accounts online and a few things stand out. The descriptions are remarkably consistent, especially around the gait and the shoulder width. Witnesses who don't seem to know each other are describing the same thing.
Would love to know if anyone here has been out to the area. Has anyone tried audio recording out there? I've been doing EVP work locally and sometimes you pick up vocalisations you don't even notice on the night, only when you play it back. Wondering if a similar approach around those foothills might turn up something interesting.
If anyones been on the ground out there please do share what you found, even null results are useful.
