Never been to Ohio myself but I've been following this place for a while now. From what I've read the history there is pretty grim, overcrowding, patient abuse, the usual tragic sanatorium story, and places like that tend to accumulate a certain kind of residual energy that you don't really get in other locations.
What interests me more than the standard ghost stuff though is a few reports I came across a couple years back, people describing figures that didn't move or behave like a typical apparition would. More like something that was observing rather than just replaying events. That leans interdimensional to me rather than residual haunting.
Has anyone actually done a proper overnight there or even just a walkthrough? I'd love to know what the atmosphere is like on the ground. Photos, EVP recordings, anything really. Suffolk isn't exactly close to Ohio but I'd genuinely consider making the trip if there's something worth investigating properly.
