Has anyone actually been to the Sallie House in Kansas? Planning a trip and want to know what to expect

Never been myself but I've watched about every documentary and video made about that place and honestly it gives me the creeps just on screen. The activity around the husband getting scratched up is what gets me - that kind of physical stuff is harder to explain away than cold spots and bumps.

If you do go, from what I've read you want to pay attention to the upstairs nursery area especially. People report feeling genuinely unwell up there, not just scared, actually physically sick or dizzy.

Would love to hear what you experience if you go. Has anyone on here actually done an overnight? I keep seeing places offer booked investigations but never sure how legit those are or if its just a cash grab. Durham is a bit far for me to pop over to Kansas on a whim but this is on my list for sure one day.

Never been to the Sallie House personally but I know a few lads who've done road trips to the States specifically for locations like that. The scratching thing is well documented and what gets me is how consistent it is across different investigators over the years - not just one bloke having a bad night, its basically a pattern at this point. Apparently the basement and the upstairs bedroom are where most of the physical stuff happens so if you do go I'd be setting up equipment in both simultaneously rather than moving around. Spirit box sessions there have produced some pretty wild responses too from what I've seen. Genuinely jealous tbh, Yorkshire has decent haunted spots but nothing with that kind of reputation for physical contact. Make sure you've got a decent full spectrum camera and log everything because that location deserves proper documentation not just shaky phone footage.
