Posting this because I need to know if anyone else has seen something similar on the London Underground, particularly the Central Line, late at night.

October 31st, roughly 11:45 PM. I was coming home from a night out in Soho, absolutely sober (designated driver's mate was with me). We got on the Central Line at Tottenham Court Road heading east. Train was nearly empty - maybe 5 other people.

At Covent Garden, the doors opened and I noticed a figure on the platform that just... didn't look quite right. Humanoid, definitely, but the proportions were off in a way I can't describe without sounding mad. Too-long arms, maybe? The face was obscured by a coat collar, but I had this intense feeling of being watched.

My mate didn't see anything unusual. The figure was there for maybe 5 seconds before the doors closed. Looked back as we left the station - it was still standing in the same spot, perfectly still.

I know the Underground is full of odd characters, but this felt different. Has anyone experienced anything similar on the Tube? Specifically humanoid but *off*?

London Underground's a magnet for weird stuff. The sheer volume of people plus the psychological effects of being underground creates perfect conditions for anomalies. There's definitely something about the Tube's electromagnetic properties that people don't talk about enough.

Could've been anyone, honestly. The Underground is full of people in strange dress on Halloween. And the lighting at Covent Garden's terrible - tricks your perception constantly. Not saying you're lying, but 'felt wrong' is pretty subjective data.

I've heard similar reports from Tube workers over the years. Nothing official obviously, but folklore among station staff. There's definitely something odd about certain lines and certain stations. Circle Line's particularly noted for weird stuff.

So you couldn't actually see anything concrete that was wrong. Could've just been someone in a long coat with their head down. Easy to misinterpret on the Tube when you're tired and it's late.

Covent Garden's built on old plague pits and Tudor gardens. There's layers of history under there. I've always felt off on that particular section of the line. Don't know if what you saw was genuinely paranormal, but the location's definitely got history worth investigating.
