Fair enough, these things have to happen at some point. Bit annoying timing-wise since I've got an overnight investigation planned for Saturday at a derelict farmhouse outside Swansea - was hoping to be able to post live updates and cross-reference some EVP notes with the community in real time. Might have to just dump everything on Sunday when things are back up.

Quick question for the admins - is there a rough ETA on when the site will be back online? Even a ballpark "Sunday afternoon". Or "Sunday evening". Would help with planning. Also worth asking: will the migration affect any of the older threads or attachment links? I've got a handful of posts bookmarked with embedded audio files and I'd hate to find those corrupted or missing after the move.

On the plus side, new servers should hopefully sort out the lag issues that crop up when a big thread gets going. You know how it gets when there's a live hunt happening and everyone's posting at once - the site basically crawls. If the new infrastructure handles that better, it's well worth the downtime.

Anyone else got anything planned this weekend that the outage might affect? Might be worth coordinating off-site temporarily - there's a Discord floating around for this community if I remember right. Could be a good backup for Saturday night if anyone wants to follow the farmhouse session.

@dozy_badger sounds like that post got cut off mid-sentence - technical gremlins already starting early, ha.

Know the frustration though. Done plenty of overnight runs where I've wanted to cross-reference something mid-investigation and had no signal let alone site access.

Best advice from an old driver: preparation is everything. Before Saturday, download or screenshot anything you need - relevant threads, location history, similar case reports. I keep a dedicated folder on an old Lenovo tablet specifically for offline reference material before any fieldwork.

Derelict farmhouse outside Swansea sounds promising mind you. Agricultural buildings tend to accumulate layers - decades of activity, sometimes going back centuries in that part of Wales. Whatever you capture Saturday night, the forum will still be here when the servers come back up.

Document everything properly and we'll all be waiting to hear what you found.
