Been thinking about this a lot lately. The astronomical alignment angle gets tossed around plenty but the "landing calendar" idea is different and honestly more interesting to me. Like what if the lines weren't just pointing at star positions but were actively marking windows of time when something was expected to arrive or depart? That shifts the whole purpose of them from symbolic to functional.
I've read a few accounts from contactees over the years who describe beings that operate on very precise schedules tied to celestial cycles, and it makes you wonder if the Nazca people had direct knowledge of that rather than just guessing.
The sheer scale of it bothers me too. You dont go to that effort for decoration. Someone had a very specific reason for wanting those lines visible from altitude.
Anyone else looked into the water table theories alongside the extraterrestrial angle? Curious whether theres overlap there or if they cancel each other out.
