Honestly the landing strip theory never made much sense to me even as a beginner because you'd need something to actually land ON, not just a scraped line in the desert, but I can't help feeling like the sheer scale of them suggests they were meant to be seen from above by something. Whether that something was ancient gods, sky beings, or just very enthusiastic condors is the fun part isn't it. What do you lot think - is the "seen from the sky" element definitely significant or are we just projecting modern thinking onto ancient people who had completely different reasons we haven't even considered yet?
Did the Nazca Lines actually serve as landing strips or is that theory completely dead now?
