Bit far from Edinburgh for me to have clocked it personally, but I've been tracking similar clustered light reports around large bodies of water for about three years now and Lake Tahoe keeps coming up more than it should. Did the lights hold a fixed formation or were they shifting around relative to each other? That detail tends to separate the genuinely odd ones from chinese lanterns and the usual nonsense. Also curious what the weather was like - high pressure systems over water seem to correlate with these sightings more than anyone wants to admit and I've never seen a decent explanation for why that would be if its just misidentified aircraft.
Did anyone else see those lights over Lake Tahoe last Thursday around 11pm?
