Did anyone else see those lights over Lake Michigan last Thursday around 11pm?

Bit of a long shot but did anyone manage to photograph them? I'm over in Somerset so obviously I wasn't there personally, but I've been collecting reports of light formations over large bodies of water for about two years now and Lake Michigan keeps coming up.

The reason I ask about photos specifically is that I've noticed a pattern in similar sightings where the light configuration changes subtly between witness accounts - and sometimes a photo can actually settle whether it was a formation or a single object doing something strange.

If you did see them, roughly how long did they stay visible and did they move at all or just hang there? I had a witness from a Lake Erie sighting last year describe them as "patient" which is a weird word to use but it stuck with me.

@IslaOrb welcome to the forum! Great topic to kick off with.

I didn't see them personally (I'm out in Roswell NM) but I'm really curious whether anyone got photos. That's always the frustrating part isn't it - lights over water tend to produce the most compelling images when someone actually has a camera ready, but half the time witnesses are just standing there watching with their mouths open.

What patterns are you seeing in your collection so far? Like are these formations consistent across different water bodies or does each location seem to have its own thing going on?
