Wasn't there myself - Waverly's a bit far from Durham for a weekend trip - but I've been following the reports coming out of that place for years and the shadow figure sightings are consistent enough to be worth taking seriously. Same corridor, same approximate height, same behaviour of retreating rather than vanishing outright. That pattern is interesting to me.
What I'd want to know is whether anyone had audio running at the time. Shadow figures and EVP activity seem to correlate more than people give credit for, at least in my own work locally. Did anyone capture anything on recorder or was it purely visual?
Also who else was in the building when it happened. Not doubting anyone, just know from experience that witness contamination muddies these things fast.
