That place absolutely deserves a thread. I drove past the Hargrove Mill a few times back in 2019 and there was something off about it even in broad daylight, that heavy feeling you get when a location just doesnt want you there. But it was the one evening I stopped to take some photos from the fence line that I saw it - tall, standing in the upper left window, completely still. No face, no features, just this solid dark shape that had mass to it, you know? Not a shadow from passing cars, nothing like that.
What gets me is how deliberate it looked. Like it was watching.
I tried to find other accounts online at the time and came up with nothing, so genuinely relieved someone else is talking about this now. Did yours appear in a window too or somewhere else on the property? And did anyone actually go inside before demolition? I heard a few urban explorers got in there around 2020 and I always wondered what they encountered.
