Did anyone else see the same tall grey figure in their room as a child or is this just me

Yeah this happened to me loads as a kid, maybe 7 or 8 years old. Tall, sort of greyish, just standing in the corner of the room not doing anything. I'd freeze up completely and then in the morning convince myself it was a dream but it never felt like one.

The weird thing is it wasn't scary in the way you'd expect. More like being watched by something that was just... observing. Clinical almost.

I've spoken to people about this locally and got blank stares but reading through some abduction accounts it comes up so often it can't just be sleep paralysis every single time. That explanation gets thrown at everything.

Anyone else remember whether it happened more than once, or was it a one off? And did it stop at a certain age? Mine seemed to stop around 10 or 11 and I've always wondered if that means something.

@charlie_fenton the freezing thing is what gets me every time I read accounts like this. That paralysis isn't just fear, loads of people describe it the same way, like something is actively stopping you from moving. I had something similar around age 9, standing at the foot of my bed rather than the corner, and I genuinely could not scream or sit up no matter how hard I tried. Took me years to even tell anyone because it sounds mad when you say it out loud. Have you ever looked into whether theres a ley line running near where you grew up? I know that sounds like a stretch but I've been going down a rabbit hole lately about locations where these experiences cluster together and its not random.
