Nothing like this near me obviously (Glastonbury, UK) but I wanted to say you're definitely not losing your mind. The fact you're even questioning yourself is usually a sign something genuinely strange happened, people who make things up don't tend to second-guess like that.
What did the craft look like exactly? I'm particularly interested in whether it seemed solid or more like a light configuration. I've been reading a lot about interdimensional craft and how they can appear to "phase" in and out of what we'd normally call physical space, which sometimes makes witnesses doubt what they saw because it doesn't match the classic disc shape people expect.
Was there anyone with you at the time, or other people in teh area who might have clocked it? Even one corroborating account from someone nearby would be really useful for piecing together what happened.
