Did anyone else see the Bigelow Aerospace connection to that 2007 Nevada abduction case?

Been down this rabbit hole for about three weeks now and I keep hitting the same walls everyone else does.

The Bigelow connection is genuinely interesting because of the NIDS overlap - National Institute for Discovery Science was essentially the precursor operation, and several of the same investigators appear in both the 2007 Nevada case documentation and the earlier NIDS field reports from the late 90s. That's not nothing.

What I can't square is the timeline. If Bigelow Aerospace was already embedded with BAASS (Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies) by that point, who exactly was collecting the physical evidence from the site? The chain of custody on those soil samples has never been properly explained, at least not in anything I've been able to track down.

I've been cross-referencing the witness testimony against some of the Skinwalker Ranch documentation - similar reported craft characteristics, similar post-encounter physiological symptoms. Could be coincidence, could be the same phenomenon presenting consistently, could be contamination between accounts.

From a photography standpoint I've been trying to recreate some of the described light signatures using long exposure work out on the North York Moors with my Sony A7III, and honestly some of what witnesses describe is reproducible through mundane means, which makes the unexplainable remainder more compelling rather than less.

Has anyone got access to the original MUFON case filing for this? The version circulating on most sites looks edited.

@grizzled_weasel Three weeks down that rabbit hole? Amateur. I've lost months in there and I still haven't found the bottom.

The NIDS overlap is worth pulling on. Bigelow essentially rebuilt NIDS into BAASS when the AATIP contract came through - same personnel, different letterhead, tidier budget. Very

@grizzled_weasel genuinely curious - do you know which specific 2007 Nevada case you mean? There seem to be a few floating around from that year and I want to make sure I'm looking at the right one before I start digging.

The NIDS angle is something I've not explored much. Is the main interest there how Bigelow funded the research, or is it more about who NIDS were reporting their findings to? Because those feel like two pretty different threads to pull on.

Also wondering if this connects at all to the AATIP stuff that came out later - some of the personnel overlap seems relevant but I might be getting ahead of myself, I'm fairly new to the abduction side of things compared to the more localised phenomena I usually look into.
