Colares, 1977 - the one where the Brazilian Air Force actually launched an official investigation called Operation Saucer and then the guy who ran it spent the rest of his life saying it was all real and the cover-up destroyed him. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for keeping quiet is it. The victims had puncture wounds and radiation burns, some of them died, and the military photographed the craft themselves. Yet somehow this gets a fraction of the attention Roswell does. The EVP recordings I've done out on the levels here feel pretty tame compared to what those poor villagers went through honestly.
Did anyone else see that Brazilian farmer case from the 80s where the military got involved?
Yeah Colares is one of the cases that actually holds up under scrutiny. Captain Hollanda didn't just say it was real, he gave a full interview with photos and documentation and then died under circumstances that were... let's say convenient. Suicide officially. Right after going public.
The physical injuries on the victims are what gets me every time. Burns and puncture wounds, people describing beams of light that left actual marks on their bodies. Not just lights in the sky, these things were attacking people.
And the Brazilian government sat on the Operation Saucer files for decades before releasing them. Think about that.
