Does anyone have actual data on the outages - like timestamps and locations mapped against the derailment site? That would be the thing to look at really, because anecdotal stuff only goes so far.
What I find more interesting is whether the outages were reported before or after the chemical burn-off decision was made. The timing of that whole controlled release felt rushed to me and I've always wondered what was actually driving those decisions behind the scenes.
