Glad someone else clocked this because I've been turning it over in my head since it happened.
Three cities going dark simultaneously on the same night as a ". Scheduled". Outage is a stretch to swallow as coincidence. Scheduled maintenance doesn't typically cascade across separate grid regions - those systems are deliberately isolated from each other precisely to prevent that kind of domino effect.
What's interesting to me is the timing overlap with some unusual EMF spikes I picked up that same evening on my Trifield TF2 - I was out doing a routine sweep near the old Gedling colliery and the readings went absolutely haywire around 11pm. Dismissed it at the time but now I'm not so sure.
A few things worth considering:
Were the three cities geographically aligned in any meaningful way?, Did anyone notice unusual aerial activity beforehand?, Has anyone actually filed an FOI request to the relevant energy suppliers for the maintenance logs?
The FOI angle is underused in this community honestly. Paper trails exist even when they're inconvenient, and utilities are obligated to respond.
Could be infrastructure fragility, could be a test of emergency response protocols, could be something stranger. I'm not jumping to conclusions but the simultaneous element does nag at me.
Which cities are we talking specifically? I want to cross-reference some reports from that night.
