Been looking at this for a while now and yeah, there's definitely something there. The time gaps tend to cluster around the same window - usually 1.5 to 2.5 hours, almost never random amounts like 47 minutes or 3 hours 20. That consistency bugs me more than anything else about these cases.
What I find interesting coming from an NDE background is how often the witnesses describe the lost time almost the same way people describe the void state in cardiac arrest accounts. A kind of thick blankness rather than just nothing. Could be trauma response, could be something else entirely.
Anyone noticed whether these highway cases correlate more with specific stretches of road or is it fairly spread out geographically? I've been trying to map a few of the Louisiana reports and theres a stretch of highway near me that keeps coming up in local accounts. Probably nothing but it nags at me.
Would be good to hear from people who've actually done fieldwork on this rather than just armchair research.
